Welcome to the Gemelli Experience At our James Street Restaurant, Gemelli simply translates from Italian as "twins," reflecting our close-knit bond and
shared culinary heritage. Growing up in a family steeped in Italian traditions, we learned from an early age to cherish both fine cuisine and the art of preparing it. From annual rituals like sauce and salami making with Nonno, to the simple joy of sharing wine with loved ones, our journey has always been fueled by a deep passion for Italian food and culture. Over the past 10 years we have brought fresh, authentic and true Italian cuisine to the GC and opened our 4th restaurant in James Street Brisbane in September 2021.

Separated from the main dining room by elegant sheer curtains, this versatile area accommodates up to 60 guests seated or 80 standing. Ideal for private functions,
celebrations or corporate gatherings, the space pairs signature Gemelli hospitality with a custom banquet and drinks offering tailored to your event.

FAQs
Our main restaurant is wheelchair accessible, as well as our private dining area. Only one section in the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible as there is one step.
We have parking on Little James Street or in the carpark above 15 James Street, please note during the day all parking is 2 hour time allocation.
All of our furniture is fully removable and customisable, our mid and low sections have banquette seating which can not be removed however the tables and chairs can be.
When hiring our private dining room, you are welcome to bring decorations. Please note that all of these need to come and go with you on the day, and as there are some things we don’t allow (eg. candles, confetti, hanging items), we ask that you always check in with our team first to be sure we can accommodate your decorations. As our food is designed to be shared we do need space on the table for our delicious dishes
